Lighting installation for Dom Perignon

As a world authority on beeswax, in 2012 Cate (founder of Queen B) was commissioned to create a light sculpture for Dom Perignon.

Just as a finely crafted French champagne has light bubbles that are delicate on the palate, so the sculpture subtly illuminated the revered brand without so much as a branded product in place.

Queen B has always been an exercise that is 9 parts passion, 1 part business... the passion for beeswax involving hundreds of hours over the past decade 'playing' with beeswax to understand it better.  Creating beeswax bottles is a part of that play

Now owned by Moet & Chandon, the abbey in which Dom Perignon lived has been retained and the headquarters of Dom Perignon remain in Hautvillers where Pierre Perignon served as the cellar master.  To see the short video of highlights from our visit to the Abbey of Hautvillers, go to YouTube here.
